The Service
MyCarPilot is an independent vehicle buying guidance service created to help members of the general public who may not have specialist mechanical knowledge feel more confident when buying a used car from a private seller or a used car dealership. We do this by providing information and guidance based on the vehicle details and documents you provide, combined with UK market and model data.
We are purely here to help you make a more informed decision by giving you the information contained in your assessment. We are not responsible for the condition of any vehicle, the conduct or representations of any seller, or the outcome of any purchase you decide to make. Our assessments are desk-based guidance, not a mechanical inspection, a guaranteed valuation or a warranty.
Not a Mechanical Inspection
Our assessments are desk-based guidance only. They do not constitute a mechanical inspection, a guaranteed valuation or a warranty about the condition of any vehicle. You remain responsible for your purchase decision and should always inspect a vehicle in person before buying.
Payment
Each assessment is a one-off charge of £14.99, processed securely by Stripe. There is no subscription and no recurring charge.
Refunds
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. If your assessment fails to generate after payment, we will either re-run your assessment or issue a full refund.
Use of Assessments
Assessments are for your personal use only and may not be resold, redistributed or used commercially without our permission.
Copyright
All content on this website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, designs, layouts, assessments, reports, analysis methods, software code, and the MyCarPilot name and branding, is the property of MyCarPilot and is protected by United Kingdom and international copyright laws.
No part of this website may be reproduced, distributed, transmitted, displayed, published or broadcast without the prior written permission of MyCarPilot, except as expressly provided in these terms.
Unauthorised reproduction, copying, or distribution of any content from this website is a violation of copyright law and may result in civil and criminal penalties.
Our Proprietary Methods
The MyCarPilot assessment methodology, scoring systems, fault knowledge and negotiation guidance are proprietary to MyCarPilot and the result of significant investment in research and development.
We share these methods with you through your assessment for your personal use. Please do not copy, replicate, or use our methodology, data, or processes to build a competing product or service.
Responsible Use
Assessments and reports are provided for your personal, non-commercial use only. Please do not resell, redistribute, or share them commercially.
Please do not use automated tools to copy or extract content from this website, or attempt to bypass any technical protections we have in place.
We kindly ask that you do not use our content or methodology to develop or train competing products or services.
Intellectual Property
MyCarPilot assessments and all related content remain the intellectual property of MyCarPilot. You may download and keep your assessment for your personal use only.
No Responsibility for Vehicle or Purchase Outcome
MyCarPilot exists solely to help the general public make more informed used car buying decisions by providing information and guidance. We are not responsible for the condition, safety, roadworthiness, value or suitability of any vehicle, nor for the conduct, representations or actions of any seller, dealer or third party.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any purchasing decision, financial loss, mechanical failure or any other outcome arising from the use of our assessments. Our assessments are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute a mechanical inspection, a guaranteed valuation, a warranty or professional engineering advice.
You remain solely responsible for verifying the condition of any vehicle in person before purchase. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the assessment.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
